"Oh," The thought of a nanny didn't even cross my mind when I was getting ready. I just assumed we were going to take Henrique with us. But I guess Alexander had different plans.
"Come on in then, and I'll tell what needs to be done," I told her as I carried her to the living room to talk. "You'll be watching Henrique, my nephew who is currently asleep in my bedroom," I told her as she made herself comfortable on the couch.
"So Petunia, how old are you?" I asked her to try to get to know her more, to see if her smile is truly real.
"Twenty," she answered.
"If you don't mind me asking, do you go to college?"
She shrugged saying, "I don't mind. Yes, I go to Trelawney Community College. My parents can't afford to send me to a big University." She looked sad, but she tried not to show it much.
"It's okay, I was never rich either. I'm still not rich. So, what are you studying?" I asked hoping that her career interest would brighten the mood.
"Italian," she happily replied, and her eyes immediately went bright with excitement, I had to smile at her sudden change of mood.
"No way, you speak Italian?"
"Just a little."
I smiled. "That's amazing. I also wanted to learn Italian mainly because I also love how Italian men looked."
"I guess I need to go buy and Italian cologne, because if I don't look like them, I might as well smell like one right," Alexander's voice said coming from behind us. We turned around looking at him.
Why would he want to be Italian when he was already Adonis reborn?
I couldn't help but blush.
Even Petunia was staring, she too was mesmerized by him.
I stood from my seat and walked towards him. He was wearing a tuxedo; his hair was neatly brushed back, and his face freshly shaved. He looked edible.
I walked towards him and his hypnotizing brown eyes trailed my dress, as he gawked at my appearance.
"Kalliyah, you look stunning," he said making me blush and feeling butterflies. "I knew that dress was perfect for you. It's my favourite colour and you prove why it is, you're absolutely beautiful." He said as he stared into my eyes.
I don't know what shocked me more, the fact that he called me beautiful or the way he called my name. It was as if my name was made for his voice, made for him to call me.
"Are you done? I'm hungry." I said trying to sound a little sassy.
He laughed, which was even better than his voice, "Yes, dear." He came closer to me and enlaced our hands and I was lost in his eyes until I remember Petunia.
I turned to her, still holding Alex's hand. "When you go up the stair the door that's open is mine and Henrique is sleeping on the bed. When he wakes you can transfer him to his room which is beside mine." I smiled at her. "Nice meeting you Petunia."
She returned my smile exit the room.
I turn to look at Alexander and smile.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
I nod.
As ready as you can be for a first date.
The drive to the destination of the date wasn't bad even though we were both silent for all twenty add minutes. The silence was awkward either, we both had things on our mind. I was trying to focus on the surrounding since I still wasn't familiar with this city or this county. I was surprised to see Alexander pull him in a parking lot, but it wasn't a regular parking spot. Ahead there were many lights, I couldn't exactly pin out where we were.
I turn to look at Alexander confused.
Where the hell were we?
It seemed as if he understood my facial expression because he smiled. He took out of his seat belt and opened his door and came over to my side. He opened my door for me.
I flash him a smile and exit the car.
What a gentleman!
"I hope you're not afraid of a little walk." He said looking down at my heels.
I laughed then shrug. The walk couldn't be that long to make my foot hurt.
He clasped our hands together and pulled us in the direction of the lights. After a few minutes, I started to realize where we were. There were hundreds of boat and yachts lined in at the pier.
I turn to look Alexander with a smile and raised brows, but he just grinned without looking directly at me.
We walked on a pathway that led to at a ship, I keep looking at Alexander for some confirmation to see if we were going on that ship, but he ignored me, intentionally.
When we reached the ship I noticed its name at the side.
Alexandria
My middle name.
I looked up at Alexander who had stopped walking.
I shook my head he couldn't possibly know my middle name.
"Whose is it?" I asked without talking my off the beauty that was ahead.
"Mine." He held my hand tighter and started to pull us to the steps that lead up to ship.
"Alexandria is my middle name. You didn't buy this for me, did you?" I said trying to joke around.
I laughed and shook his head, "As good as that might have sounded, unfortunately, I bought this about three years ago before I met you."
I looked at the ship, it was white and had gold lining around the edges. It was so clean and shiny that I could see my blurry reflection on it.
